Here at Bow Lane Dental we are aware that one in three people have or have had a fear of the dentist.
Dental phobia ranges from mild uneasiness to severe anxiety and complete dread of dental treatment. When a person will not visit the dentist despite needing treatment, they can be said to be suffering from dental phobia. Each individual will have their own reasons for why they are phobic.
The first steps to combating this fear can now be made easier by attending our dental phobic clinic. This visit will NOT include any treatment but will be a chance for a one to one talk with our Dental Hygienist, Brooke. She will show you our clinic and give you the opportunity to ask any questions which may help put you at ease with being at a dentist. We will discuss how you are currently cleaning your teeth and give you hints and tip to improve. It will hopefully start to make you feel more confident about dental treatments.
Dental Phobia can prevent someone from attending the dentist with a small dental problem which over time when not treated this could turn into a larger problem that needs more work than if it was seen straight away.
We never want people to feel this way and stop them from having a happy and healthy smile. This is why we are offering a clinic for people who would like to overcome their fear of the dentist.
We ask for a fee of £20 to reserve your appointment. So please give us a call 020 7236 3600 to arrange an appointment to help with your fear of the dentist.
